2016 was a sad year for Bowie fans – so I wasn’t surprised when I got a request for a “Beastie Stardust”! This little monster was created as a gift for a big David Bowie fan.
I recreated the famous “stripe” in felt, and embroidered the finest lines in black cotton…
…Then I picked out some chunky merino yarn to recreate his distinctive red feathered hairdo!
Finally, I added some pizzazz to his simple red jumpsuit by using a a shiny cotton and viscose yarn, and popping on some over-the-top satin shoulder pads.
Finished! Let’s dance!
