Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a good week. I’ve been suuuuper busy… Expect to be meeting some new Beasties very soon, once they all get to where they need to go!
In the meantime, Paddy and Plunkett have spent the last few days trying to choose where to visit next. They’re taking all this lockdown travel very seriously, you know! And it looks like Plunkett has just had a flash of inspiration…
“This is going to be great, Paddy…”
“…They’ll never guess where we’ve gone this time.”
“Woooooooaaah! That’s some view, Plunkett – it’s out of this world!”
“You’re not wrong there.”
Wait, do I detect a wry bit of humour from Plunkett there? Hmmmm…
And Paddy’s day is just about to get even better. Plunkett has booked him a rental car… Sort of.
“Sweet wheels! Can I really drive this?”
“Of course!”
“YEEESSSSSSSSSSS!”“Wait, where are you going?”
“Rock hunting!”
Nothing unusual there. We all know that Plunkett loves a bit of geology! But he’s heard that human scientists are really keen to get rock samples from this place, and he wants to help them out.
And, after a fun few hours of exploration, the lads met up for a final photo…
… And to leave their mark on the place.
“Just one thing, Plunkett…”
“Yes?”
“How are we going to get home?”
Ah. Well, I’m sure Plunkett will think of something. Hopefully we’ll see the boys back in time for next week’s post!
And where were the lads last week?
I don’t think anybody needed any help figuring this out… It’s Stonehenge, of course! Find out more about those spectacular stones here… You can even take a virtual tour from the comfort of your own couch!
And finally…
I should probably mention that a few of the images featured in this post are not my own. I’ll share full source info for the originals in the big reveal next week.
This is such fun! These two little green men look right at home at their latest holiday destination. And what a place for Plunkett to get some unique rocks to add to his collection. As for getting home….I’m sure one of them has the travelling knitting bag stashed away somewhere. It never fails.
Thanks, Queen Bee… I didn’t make the connection between Paddy, Plunkett and the traditional “little green men” until you mentioned it π And yes, hopefully they remembered to pack that magic knitting bag to whisk themselves home again! Thanks for dropping in π
They like to leave their mark don’t they? π
Haha! Yes indeed – but Paddy forgot to pack a flag so they had to make do π Cheers for joining the boys on their latest adventure, Simon!
Always a pleasure π
Thanks for the laugh! I am not sure if you can afford airfare for them! Love their “rental car” – ha!
Heehee! Thanks, Tierney… And you’re right, even if I purchase one seat for them to share, I doubt the contents of the piggy bank and coin jar will cover the cost π Cheers for joining us on our lockdown tour!
It was so fun!
I like Paddy’s rental vehicle! And glad to see that the duo has left its mark — hopefully to be found and pondered at by future rock-gathering scientists. I can see the headlines now, “New evidence of Beastie life on…. Mars.” π I do hope they have managed to find their way back! Also, I love the idea of space suits made of cable knits and tweed. Sharp!
Ha! Yes, I can just see Nasa investing in stylish woolly space wear after perusing this totally factual account of Earth-based life forms visiting the red planet π Thanks for joining us on Mars, Shirley… And I’m hoping the boys WILL come back! Between the sweet wheels and the interesting rocks, I wouldn’t be surprised if they stayed!
Ha ha. This was great. Nice to see that the sky is not the limit with these two. π
Oh, hello there! Nice to see you again π And yes, it seems like the lads are pretty much unstoppable these days! Cheers for popping in!
