Hey there everyone! We’re broadcasting a little later than usual today, but hopefully I can make it up to you all by introducing a super new Beastie – with a heap of cool accessories! Soooo… Hello there, Detective Beastie!
Admittedly, she doesn’t look very detective-y just yet. Let’s get ready for work!
“Hey, where are my glasses?”
Aha! That’s better. This might also be a good time to admire her lustrous red locks and sweet star print tunic!
I always knew this Beastie would be going to live in Texas, so this sweet fabric was the perfect nod to her new home in the Lone Star State.
What’s next, then? Oh yes, COFFEE.
A nice frothy felty cappucino is the best way to start the day. Yum!
Now, like most Beasties, Detective Beastie wants to have everything that her human counterpart has. So when she heard that her new buddy usually wears a pink cotton jacket to work… Well, you can probably see where this is going.
Rockin’ it! Time to grab your bag and go!
What do you have in there, by the way?
Oh cool, Beastie-sized crochet! Just in case she has any downtime.
And that just leaves one more important thing to add before we send her on her way.
Every detective needs her badge! This Beastie-sized version is made of felt, with teeny embroidered details and a magnet inside to hold it in place.
And now she’s ready to solve some mysteries and fight some crime! Go get ’em, Detective Beastie!
Thanks to Melissa for inspiring this awesome project… I hope your new Beastie partner is pulling her weight! And we’ll be back next Tuesday with more monster shenanigans from Paddy and Plunkett, assuming they haven’t got too settled at the Logan Fish Pond!
See you then!
I love this so much! It’s so fabulous.
Thanks Melissa! I’m happy she’s gone to such a good home š I just hope she’s behaving herself now she’s there!
Cheers for popping by to visit š
She’s really good. I was thinking a sherlock holmes beastie would be pretty cool.
Yes! And then they could solve mysteries together! ššš Cheers for popping by, Simon!
You could have a set, Sherlock, Watson and Mrs Hudson lol
So many Beasties, so little time… š
I know… if only there was more time š
Wonderful! I so admire your dexterity (and eyesight) for creating that teeny-weeny-wee badge.
Thanks, Laura! I have to confess that I’m getting help these days from an autopsy-bright magnifying lamp – it’s amazing the difference it makes. I’m hopelessly addicted to using it, if I’m honest š
Thanks for swinging by!
āAutopsy brightā! š You know that has to appeal to me. š
Hahaha! I’m glad I’m not the only one with a slightly ghoulish sense of humour š
Your know I am over on the other side of the pond totally fainting from extreme cuteness exposure. Yay for Detective Beastie! (Oh the tiny ball of yarn and crochet hook are killing me!) š
Eeek! I should have been more diligent in checking my comments! Tierney! TIERNEY! Are you ok over there? š
I hereby promise that future posts will carry a cuteness overload warning. She is pretty adorable though, isn’t she? Thanks for dropping in to visit her!
I love the mug with its little shot of coffee…..ho ho! Beginnings of a topical pun there!
Hahaha! Well, I’m never one to stand in the way of a decent pun! Cheers for dropping in to say hello, Queen Bee!
Ohhhh I want a teeny tiny crochet hook!! I don’t even know what for, it’s just so perfect!
Heehee, cheers Hannah! The teeny crochet hook might be a bit small for human hands alright, but perhaps one of your amigurumi creations might be able to make use of it? š¤ Cheers for dropping in!
I have to know, does Detective Beastie crochet handcuffs when she arrests people, is that crochet hook registered as a deadly weapon, are pink jackets part of the official Beastie Police uniform? Answers! I need answers!
These are excellent questions! I believe that human detectives are allowed to wear their own choice of attire, so I’m guessing the Beastie Police stole that idea. As for the crochet hook… I’m just going to go out on a limb and say that your surmises are correct. Never pick a fight with a crafter, that’s all I’ll say. We have vast collections of sharp things š Cheers for stopping in, Tammie!
And another beautiful Beastie is born. You must have magic fingers
Awww, thank you Mariss! There were certainly a lot of cool accessories to make for this little lady! Cheers for coming in to meet her š
I love the detective over here
Thank you, Lynette! Cheers for stopping in š
Sure thing. Guess will be hanging around here for a while now. Detective style is my Passion
Nice! You’re very welcome! š šµļøāāļø
