Well, as you all know, I’ve been taking a bit of a break from the computer these past couple of weeks… But luckily for me, other members of the Beastie family have been busily snapping and blogging away in my absence! So today, I wanted to say a big “thank you” to those hard-workin’ folks, and to make sure everybody gets a chance to share in these monster adventures.
First up, a familiar monster face…

Yes, Mr Finn McSpool is back, and is sharing the first of his Irish adventures! Check out Tammie’s blog to see what mischief he got up to in Kilkenny Castle!
Also, those of you who follow Tammie already will know that she released her latest novel, “The Bonds of Osteria” at the end of last month. And fortunately, she had a heap of Beasties on hand to help her with her marketing efforts… This is my favourite promo shot!

If that made you chuckle too, you’ll find more in this post… And don’t forget to check out the Books section of Tammie’s site for more info on the Osteria Chronicles, where you can buy your copies, and all ongoing special offers.
Next up… A sneak preview of a new Beastie!

Meet tierneycreates Beastie, a brand-new addition to our ever-expanding global tribe of little knitted monsters!
I’ll be formally introducing you all to this Beastie lady on Tuesday, but I was so overwhelmed by Tierney‘s welcome-to-your-new-home post on her blog (not to mention the comments from her own loyal band of readers) that I couldn’t NOT share it with you! So please take a sec to jump over and read “I’m A Monster!!!“, and its hilarious followup “Beastie Outing: Trip to the Library“… In which an overzealous knitted monster demonstrates how NOT to use a barcode scanner.
Tierney’s site tagline is “A fusion of textiles and smiles”, and it definitely delivered on both those counts for me this week!
So, that little lot should provide you with some fun weekend reading! We’ll be back on Tuesday to see what tierneycreates Beastie has in that shoulder bag of hers… Then Explorer Beastie will be presenting the first of many, many posts about Germany next Friday!
See you then!
I found you by reading Tierneycreates and meeting her precious Beastie. I’ll enjoy meeting more of your creations. especially since I finally got to visit Ireland last year.
Hello Martha! Thanks for dropping in… And how cool you were in Ireland last year! Where did you visit on your trip?
I was on a Tom Kimmel music tour along the southwest coast. It was awesome, and we heard Irish music every night. In fact, he takes two groups every June and is there now!
Oooh, lovely! I have to confess that that’s one of the parts of the country I’ve visited the least… You probably know it better than I do after your trip!
Awww thanks for the smile and for sharing my posts π
I am extremely happy with my new tierneycreates Beastie and joining the worldwide Beastie family.
And we’re delighted to have you! Besides, once I saw your posts I couldn’t NOT share them! π Any plans for your weekend?
Why yes, soon I will post on what she has been up too….
Itβs good to see the Beasties getting out and about! I look forward to hearing more about Explorer beasties adventures!
Thanks, Catherine! I’m enjoying going through my pics and choosing which ones to share with you all π Thanks for popping in!
If Finn ever gets done reading Spin-egan’s Wake, he’s going to need one of those library cards! Glad to see you’ve put together a post with the Oregon branch of the Beastie Family :))
It had to be done! You Oregonians are really flying the flag for Beasties lately… Heck, I’m this close to moving out there myself! And don’t count on Finn ever getting to the end of that book – there’s a book group in New York who have been reading the human version for over a decade! π΅
I’m lovin keeping up with Finn’s trip to Ireland…. except that tall tower in Kilkenny made me feel like I was gonna hurl just looking at it! This newest Beastie looks amazingggg, and I enjoyed Tierney’s posts. I can’t wait to see her in greater detail in your studio photo shoot!
Why thank you, Ms Weekes! π tierneycreates Beastie pics coming up later today… And I know what you mean about that tower! Tall narrow spaces like that really give me the heebie-jeebies. Isn’t it lucky that Tammie’s braver than we are? π
Soooooo brave!!! Yay, looking forward to more pics… needing that Tuesday pick-me-up π
Done and done! π
Oh, she is so cool! As always the accessories are just insane! I’m so impressed.
Thanks Ivonne… Praise from fellow crafty masters is praise indeed! π
