Hey there everybody! We’re baaaaaaack! And what a couple of weeks it’s been… Beasties have been popping up just about everywhere! So this post is about picking up where we left off, and telling you what you lucky folks can expect to see on the BeastieBlog over the next while!
First up, Paddy and Plunkett are still living it up in the English Riviera. Before I headed off on my break, they were exploring the steep stone-lined streets of Clovelly…
… But they haven’t stayed put in the meantime! The adventurous twosome have also been spotted gambolling in the beautiful flowerbeds in Torquay – clearly their tour of the Eden Project has given them an appetite for horticulture!
Plunkett also had high hopes of cooling off in a nearby Beastie-sized swimming pool – but for some reason this sign put him off.
Erk. Probably for the best, Plunkett!
The boys also visited the laid-back, alternative town of Totnes, where Plunkett took some snaps of the unusual buildings and picturesque streets…
… And Paddy visited a gender-neutral toilet. Um… Thanks, Paddy! I suppose these are still a rare enough sight back home – or maybe it was just the nice bright sign that caught his eye.
Meanwhile, I might have mentioned once or twice that Explorer Beastie and I have been on holiday recently!
We can’t wait to share our travel pics with you… I’m still amazed how much we managed to cram into our trip!
And if you can’t wait until next week to start the tour, you’ll get a quick fix of some of the highlights from our Twitter, Instagram and Facebook feeds!
Then, if that lot has still left you hungry for more monster-based entertainment… There are new Beasties for you to meet! May was a veeeery busy month, and there are recent additions to the family who are keen to have their moment in the spotlight!
So, join us on Friday to meet a new monster friend! Plus we’ll also be checking what the rest of the Beastie community has been up to in our absence. See you then!
Lucky Beasties. Looks like it was a grand holiday
Hello! Yes, it certainly was… And that’s just the tip of the photographic iceberg! There will be many, many more over the coming weeks. Thanks for stopping in! ๐
Awwww I can’t wait to show B that the boys visited Totnes!!!!!!! I’m not at all surprised that a gender neutral toilet features on the tour! Now, if only the lads had paid a visit to the controversial Roundabout Gnomes (I hope this link works because it’s hilarious) –

Oh wow! I can’t believe they missed this… They’re just going to have to go back! ๐ Apparently it was a little breezy in Totnes that day, so the lads weren’t able to take as many photos as they would have liked. I hope B got a kick out of seeing them in his hometown though! Cheers for joining us, Weekes! ๐
Haha oh no, wouldn’t want them to blow away!!! Looking forward to seeing a sparkly new Beastie tomorrow! ๐
Woohoo! There are some more familiar monster faces in that post too, so you can catch up with everybody in one fell swoop! Enjoy! ๐
The best line from the Totnes article mentioned above? “Then there were the ones that went walkabout and the police kept bringing back.” Why? Because I’m now picturing Paddy & Plunkett “rescuing” their newfound friend only to realize he’s too heavy to carry very far and having to abandon him.
Ha! Yeah, I’m pretty sure 85% of those gnome abductions were Beastie-related. ๐ It’s lucky the lads didn’t “borrow” one of those transport sledges from Clovelly, isn’t it? Totnes would be missing at least 3 gnomes this morning if they had! Cheers for dropping in, Tammie!
I’m sure it was just a bit of oversight and next time they’ll plan ahead to steal the right tools for their gnome abductions.
Ha! At this rate they’ll be the most dastardly crime duo since Bonnie and Clyde! ๐
Canโt wait to hear all about your adventures!
Thanks, Catherine! I’m looking forward to sharing them with everybody! I saw a new post from you this morning too… I’m excited to see how you’re getting on down under! Cheers for swinging by ๐
The Beasties have a true knack for visiting the most intriguing and lovely places. These are truly beautiful spots (if I hadn’t known otherwise, I would have sworn that the shot of Clovelly was taken in Greece). Lovely snapshots. ๐
Yes, Paddy and Plunkett always seem to end up somewhere interesting on their travels… And the sunshine (mostly) follows them too! Thanks for stopping in, Shirley… What are you up to this weekend?
Hopefully enjoying this bout of sun we’ve gotten after a rainy half-week! And you?
Enjoying the sunshine’s up there for me too! We’re having a very un-Irish heatwave at the moment. I have a few project sketches to attend to, so drawing in the sun seems like the way to go! Enjoy!
