A Monster New Year To You All!

Happy new year, everybody!

2017 was a pretty exciting year here at Beastie Towers – check out the review post I did a couple of weeks back, and you’ll see what I mean! I’m hoping there’s even more good stuff around the corner in 2018 for us, and for all of you out there too. It’s been great having you along for the ride over the past 12 months, and I can’t wait to see where the new year takes us all!

Oh, and if, like me, your life was teetering on the brink of complete chaos because I didn’t make a Beastie calendar this year, fear not! I’ve a new year’s gift for you all… Get thee to the Shop section of my website, where you’ll find a free downloadable calendar page to help you stay organised for the whole of January. To get yours, just add it to your cart… and don’t worry about filling out the whole “address details” form! You only need to enter your name and email address, then you’ll be able to download the page directly from the confirmation email you’ll receive shortly afterwards. After that, print it out… aaaand it’s up to you! Stick it on the wall, pop it on the fridge, tuck it into the pages of your bullet journal – wherever you like, really!
Calendar Page January - Paddy and Plunkett - Printable - CrawCrafts BeastiesBig thanks to both Tammie and Jan for suggesting this idea! I’m hoping that those of you who (like me) still find that nothing really gets sorted out unless pen and paper are involved will find this useful. And hey, let me know where yours ends up… especially if you find an unusual place to display it!

The BeastieBlog returns to normal next Tuesday (that’s the 9th of January), when I’ll be starting to share the first of the Christmas gift commissions now that all the presents have been opened and no surprises will be spoiled!

See you then, and all the best to all of you for 2018. Happy new year!

    1. Awww, brilliant – I’m glad I’m not the only one who still prefers to see things written down! Thanks, Maggie, and happy new year to you! 😀

  1. Hooray! I’m so glad I’ll be able to despondently stare at P&P now (joining the legend ranks of David Bowie, Vivien Leigh, and Jane & Edward) while I’m sitting at my desk of misery. Great idea! And good luck continuing to hunt for the best calendar collaboration for 2019!!! 🙂

    1. Wow, they’ll be honoured to be in such good company! Hopefully they’ll help cancel out some of the despondency with their icy antics in this month’s picture. And now to find the printer of my dreams… I really hope they’re out there somewhere! Thanks, Weekes 😀

  2. Happy New Year! I’m so happy I can now cover up this cheesy Zen calendar my brother-in-law gave me with pictures of Beasties. I think we can all agree that monsters provide much more inspiration and motivation than pictures of rocks.

    1. Hahaha! Happy I could help… And hey, let’s not write off the idea of a Beastie Zen calendar for 2019. I’m sure I could have endless fun blending Zen wisdom quotes with bad puns about monsters and yarn! 😂

        1. Hmmm… Maybe I should follow your lead, and do a test run on Instagram first! 🤔

    1. Thanks, Tierney! Oh, Beastie TV show… It’s the dream! One day, perhaps 😀 Hope you find the calendar page useful – don’t be shy about posting shots of it in use on Instagram, especially if it ends up somewhere interesting! 😊

  3. oh wowee, what a treat! Thanks for this opportunity to Beastify my life *and* get organized the ole pen & paper way (my life needs paper calendars, so I really look forward to the next chance to print the pages out and hang them somewhere special!). 😀 I’ll be sure to snap some photos of the calendar in action!!!! Thank you, Helen! ❤

    1. Awesome! Cheers, Shirley… And yes, much as I love the idea of doing things paperless-ly, the act of writing stuff down fixes it in my mind so much more firmly! The February page will be along soon as well, so you can start planning ahead 😀

    1. Yaaaaay! I saw that you’d picked yours up… I hope it helps you plan out your knits over the coming year. Well, the coming month… I’m still trying to choose a picture for February’s page! Thanks, Melissa! 😀
