Oh woweeeee! What a super weekend we all had at the Creative Collective Ireland Craft Fair! I’ve been working flat out since I came back from my holidays, and I think I assembled one of my best-ever teams of Beasties…
I also brought along some Beans (which are fast becoming a market day staple!) and an order form for my Beastie 2016 calendar!
And if that wasn’t enough excitement for one day, my Beastiebuddy Eirin stopped by to take some photos of the stall for a project she’s working on!
She got some great shots of my monster Christmas tree, complete with Jingle Bean decorations…
… Beasties playing hide and seek…
…And even some of me.
You can see more photos on her Facebook page, or check out her website!
What I love most about markets is that it gives me a chance to leave Beastie Towers for the day and introduce my little monsters to the world! I still get such a kick out of seeing people’s reactions when they meet the Beasties for the first time, and I was especially chuffed to talk to people who remembered us from the last time we did this market, back in 2013! So thanks to everybody who stopped for a chat, or decided to bring a woolly friend home with them. I also lucked out with my neighbours – cheers to Kate and Andrew from Baressential soap and Aoife from Diplodocus Books for Beastie-sitting when I went on a caffiene run! Aoife even adopted a Beastie of her own…
Meanwhile, I think I showed admirable restraint… I only bought myself a couple of teeny treats! Explorer Beastie seems pleased with them too…
Clockwise from top left: Hand-bound Crow notebook by Diplodocus Books, Ruth Turpin‘s homemade mince meat, chamomile and juniper natural soaps from Baressential, Ye Old Town Candles‘ Winter Time tin and felt bowl by Teri Collins.
I’m hoping to do a couple more markets before Christmas… hopefully I’ll get to see some of you there!
Jingle Beans are adorable!
Thank you! In the past, some people have been perplexed about what my little beans are “for”, so I thought Jingle Beans would appeal to these more practically-minded types 😉
I think your beans are awesome. Those that don’t understand them don’t deserve them!
Hahaha! I’m going to put that on a sign and tuck it into the basket next time! 😀
Ooh… I’d love to order a beastie calendar if you would be prepared to post one to me… just let me know how much 🙂
Oooh, brilliant! Thank you! Beastie calendars are €10 each, and I’d be happy to post it to you. P&P would bring your total to €14, so if that sounds OK to you, email your address to me at crawcraftsbeasties@gmail.com and I’ll send you a PayPal invoice. 😃 Thanks, Dr Snail! 😀
Che meraviglia che meraviglia che meraviglia!!!! You had the gorgeous stall, the Beasties are my favorites!!!! I wish I can attend your market sooner or later!!
😀😀😀 Thank you! I think it’s time you started leaving Ireland travel brochures lying around the house… Your Big Man is sure to get the message eventually 😉
😀 😀 😀
What lovely photos! I am so jealous, wish I could have been there!
Thanks! Aren’t Eirin’s photos awesome? I’m going to have to ask her for tips! Markets are always a great day out, maybe I’ll see you at one someday 😀
Do you only do craft fairs in Ireland?
So far, yes… Although a friend of mine who lives in Germany says there are loads of great ones near her, so I am considering broadening my horizons someday 😀
What a lovely bunch of Beasties. And the Jingle Beans are adorable 🙂
Heehee, thank you! We all had a super day… And I think I’ll definitely be making more Jingle Beans 😀
Awesome display, love your beasties! 🙂
Thank you! I found new homes for a good few of them this weekend, and I’m planning more market fun before Christmas, so stay tuned 😀
Eeeee, so adorable!!! I want them all!!! 💚💚💚
Thank you! I do love showing up to a market with a big gang of them! And every home should have its own Beastie 😉
Where might one find a house beastie?
Perhaps in my Etsy shop… There’s a link in the drop-down menu on the right. Or there might be an idea for one lurking in your imagination somewhere! If so, let me know and I’ll make it for you 😀
Oh sweet! Thanks, I shall check them out!!! 😀
Thanks! You can also check out past Beastie creations in my “Knitted Beasties” category on the blog 😀
Bah, the Apple app is confusing me…I see no drop down menu…could you possibly pop a hyperlink to the shop in a post sometime? I really want to check it out! I love the pirate beastie!!
Sorry, the menu does only show up on the site, and not in the WordPress app! Here you go -> http://www.etsy.com/ie/shop/CrawCraftsBeasties. Happy browsing 😀
Thank you!!!!
You’re welcome 😀
I know I have been to your etsy shop before but can’t seem to find it again. What is it called again?
Oooh, thanks for giving me an excuse to promote my Etsy shop! The shop name is CrawCraftsBeasties, and if you’re reading my blog online (rather than on the WordPress app) there’s a link to it in the orange drop-down menu on the right hand side. I’m going to try to add more Beasties this week, so stay tuned!
Awesome! Thank you!!
😀😀😀
HURRAH! Beastie calendar has arrived – it’s brilliant… every home should have one!! Thank you so much.
Yaaaay! Glad you like it… You’re now ready to see 2016 in in style 😀
