Hello there Beastie friends! How are things where you are? Here on the Emerald Isle, we’re getting ready to start opening things up again… And I know two intrepid little monsters who are looking forward to setting out on some new adventures this summer!
Sure, they’ve enjoyed their virtual travels over the last few months…
… But it’s not really a substitute for the real thing, is it?
So that’s probably why they started hatching travel plans the very second they spotted this unattended knitting bag.
“That looks like it might be going somewhere interesting! What do you reckon?”
“Possibly, Paddy… But how on earth are we going to get up there? Normally the humans leave their bags on the floor.”
“Don’t worry, Plunkett…”
“… I have a cunning plan!”
Unfortunately, Plunkett didn’t realise that this cunning plan involved using him as a stepladder.
“Ouch! Paddy, you’re going to have to start going easy on the Full Irish breakfasts… You weigh a TON!”
“Neeeeearly there. Hold steady, Plunkett!”
Finally…
“Success!”
“That’s all well and good for you, Paddy. How do I get up there?”
“I told you, I have a plan. Hold on a sec…”
“Here you go! Now climb up.”
“Oooh, very clever!”
And much huffing and puffing later…
“There, I knew you could do it!”
“…”
Ah. Sounds like Plunkett was still catching his breath. So Paddy packed all the wool back into the knitting bag, making a nice cosy place for them both to hide.
“Where do you think we’re off to, Paddy?”
“I’m not sure…”
“… But I bet it’s going to be fun!”
Hopefully they won’t have to wait too long for the adventures to begin! Have you any interesting journeys in your future? Be sure to tell us all about them in the comments!
We’ll be back next week to catch up with Explorer Beastie. I’m sure he’s got some adventures up his woolly little sleeves too!
These two seem to be as determined as the rest of us to get out and about. That flying knitting bag sure is a handy piece of kit!
Yes indeed! Knitting bag is the only way to travel… Heck, I’d go that way myself if I could find one big enough! Thanks for dropping in, Queen Bee π
Such intrepid and resourceful Beasties. Hope that knitting bag will take them somewhere amazing.
Me too! I think the boys are long overdue some real life adventures again… Not unlike the rest of us, I suppose π
Wouldn’t it be easier for them to ask nicely if they can go along? Ah well, at least they got some exercise in before their trip : )
Naaaah, I think Paddy has notions of being a secret agent, and the subterfuge is half the fun for him π And yes, the exercise now means more space for fried breakfasts later!
Glad to hear that travel plans are in the near future, and that the Beasties already have a solid stowaway plan (that’s quite the upper body strength Plunkett has!). Looking forward to hearing about the next exciting destination. Things are opening up a bit more here, too, and with the weather getting sunnier, I’d like nothing more than summer drinks and grub on a patio somewhere. How I have missed outdoor drinks with pals! ππΉ
Oh yes, that DOES sound good! Hopefully the boys are off somewhere nice… We’ll have to wait and see if it was worth the effort of climbing into that knitting bag π Thanks for dropping in, Shirley, and I’m sure those outdoor drinks aren’t too far in the future!
I just love this – repelling on yarn! Can’t stop the Beasties from getting out! π
Hahaha! Yes, especially young Paddy there. You might as well try to stop a tidal wave π
Love seeing these little guys up to their antics x
Thanks Lucyann! Hope you’re keeping well π
Yes, Iβm getting a lot better now. Still having good days & bad days with my joints.
