It’s been a while since we heard from Paddy and Plunkett, and now I can reveal why… These two intrepid Beasties, clever little monsters that they are, decided to head south to escape the rather grey and gloomy winter we’ve been having! Like I always say, it’s pretty easy for a Beastie to sneak aboard a suitcase or stow away in a handbag… after that, it’s just a case of choosing where they want to go.
And this time, it was destination Gran Canaria! A bit of sun, sea and sand always helps the Northern winter pass a little more quickly. The boys made landfall after sunset…
… And made sure they got an early night, so they could make the most of…
…The breakfast buffet!
Recipe for a healthy Beastie: One bowl of cereal with fruit juice, then a big ol’ Full Irish, and then…
… Hit the baked goods!
“Hey Plunkett, grab me a few of those Beastie-sized doughnuts from the basket in the middle, would you?”
Next, feeling pleasantly full (but having effectively bankrupted the hotel restaurant), the boys headed out to explore! First, they found a giant sundial… A much more useful thing here than at home in Ireland!
(Loving the sunglasses, lads!)
Then, a jaunt on a penny farthing bicycle!
“Gaaaaaah! Paddy! Why do I always let you drive?!”
And now, a quick cup of coffee – just to keep their strength up.
It’s also a good opportunity to check out the photos they’ve taken!
So far, so good… But it’s not the whole story! Be sure to drop back in next week for the second instalment! See you then…
Two Beasties and a Panasonic. Should be fun!!! See you next Friday. Have a great sewing day with the team.
Thanks, we did! And now for some more today… π
Nothing is more pleasurable during winter than being able to take off to sunny places for a while.
Yes, lucky Beasties… Although how Paddy was planning to get a tan through that woolly jumper is beyond me! π Thanks for dropping in, have a great weekend!
I’m very jealous… it would be so nice to have some winter sun
Tell me about it! Oh, the joys of being 5 inches tall π Enjoy your weekend, maybe we’ll get a blink of sunshine here ourselves!
We saw the sun today – I hope you did too!
Hahaha! Briefly… And then it was followed by an apocalyptic hail shower. Oh Ireland, even after all these years your weather still has the ability to bamboozle me!
Ooh lucky beasties getting away on a winter holiday, it looks like you are all having lots of fun!
I know! Wish I was there… Those two are always sneaking off on solo adventures π Enjoy your weekend!
Haha, thanks, you too!
Wow these two Beasties really have a jet set life style, moi jealous ermmmm YES
How on earth do your boys keep so trim with the copious amount of food & drink they consume ??
hollow leg syndrome possibly LOL
That, and their heads are full of stuffing π And as for the two of them getting their unfair share of trips away, you are so right! I’m definitely following them next time! Have a super weekend π
Can’t you go as their official paparazzi photographer π
I like it! π I wonder how much Heat magazine would be prepared to pay me for stealthy long-range photos of Beasties? I can just see the headlines… “Beastie Beach Bodies Special… Cellulite! Surgery Rumours! Dropped Stitches!” π
I’m a bit worried about the Beasties overheating in their sweaters, but at least their dapper garb gives them a bit of sun protection. Now, off to figure out how I can make myself five inches tall so I can have fun adventures.
If you work it out, you need to tell me how! Then it’s next stop sunny climes and the nearest breakfast buffet… π
Hi there! π
This was so much fun! π When do we get to read the second part? π
Keep writing! π
Light and Peace, Zahra
