Time For a Break!

Beastie Coffee Break - H Crawford/CrawCrafts Beasties
Phew! What a busy year it’s been – it really seems to have flown by! But I’ve had some good news from Other Work… it turns out that with everything else I had going on, I forgot to take any holidays!

Of course, I felt that this was a problem that required my immediate attention.

That said, “holiday” might be a bit of an exaggeration for what I have planned for the next couple of weeks. There’s still market stock to be made, and Christmas commissions to be finished! So with that in mind, the Beasties and I will be taking a short vacation from the blogosphere as well – just to give us a moment to enjoy the season…

…And catch our breath before the Christmas madness starts!

I’m also hoping it will give me a chance to read a few more of your awesome blogs!

We’ll be back at the beginning of next month, with some new woolly creations and monster adventures to share. In the meantime, keep in touch on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest!

  1. Gimoka?

    Pomegranates?

    Beautiful post!

Who knew you would have to work so hard after retirement LOL 😀

Empress deserves all the break–kingdom is growing–maybe hire a few more servants 🙂

    See you soon.

    LOve and light ❤

    Anand 🙂

    1. Hahaha, I know! The downside of working for myself is that my boss is a complete nightmare! 😀 Oh, and are you asking about the berries in the photo? They’re haws, little hard red fruits that grow on hawthorn trees. You can’t just pick them to eat, but I think they can be made into jam or jelly. Now I have to find out what gimoka is!

      1. Hmm…gimoka was written on that mug.

Never heard about haws before! So you are a nightmare? Nice to meet you!

        Love and light ❤

        1. My, what sharp eyes you have! I just looked up Gimoka, they’re an Italian coffee company. And there I was thinking that it was some sort of exotic berry! Hahaha! Thanks for helping me solve the mystery 😀

        2. LOL 😀

Sometimes even simplest of things become great mysteries because of lack of communication.

          Thanks for your kind words.

          Love and light ❤

          Anand 🙂

  2. The Beasties are always miles ahead from everyone else! they are already celebrating Christmas! such visionaries! I bet they are onto something that’s about to become trendy…

    1. Hahaha, I’m afraid they get that from me… I’ve worked in retail so long that my Christmas alarms start going off in July 😱 But on the plus side, it gives me an excuse to make SANTA BEASTIES! I love their little beards 😃

      1. My son has just discovered that somewhere in Dublin lives a Pirate Beastie. He suggested straight away that perhaps we could go and meet him. I said we couldn’t do it today (we are in the south east of England…). He asked me how long it would take the pirate Beastie to come to us, I said that if he buys him, he could be with us in a few days. My parents sent him 20 euros recently, he asked me if that would’ve be enough, I checked and told him he was £10 short. He did something that really surprised me then: he went in his room and dug out his treasure chest/ piggy bank and started counting his coins… He came downstairs and gave me £11 asking if that would be enough, He is offering to spend his tooth fairy coins!! I thought he would never ever spend those, as they are his very special coins, the gems of his treasure which is otherwise a pile of coppers and a lot of crystals. So do you think Pirate Beastie would like to come and live with us? : D

        1. Oh my WORD! I just read this as I was packing up Pirate Beastie for his journey over… Now I’m certain he’s going to the best possible home! Your story really made me smile, I’m so touched, and thank you for sharing this! 😄 Pirate Beastie can’t wait to meet his new friend!

        2. He shouldn’t have to wait too long… I’ve just escorted Pirate Beastie to the Post Office and secured him passage on the next vessel heading your way 😀 Let me know when he arrives safely! And thanks again!

        3. No worries! I hope Pirate Beastie doesn’t mind flying ships… 🙂 I’ll let you know when we receive it and I’ll post some photos 🙂
