Hey there everyone! Wow, it’s been a busy week – with a bit more freedom to move around, I’ve finally had the chance to catch up with my human family for the first time in months. I’ve also started teaching knitting classes again, so it’s really been quite a sociable few days! Anyway, all this family time put me in mind of a very special Beastie I made back in 2018, for a boy who loves road signs.
Figuring out how to get as many signs as possible into the design was a fun challenge! His human buddy’s favourite, the railroad crossing sign, got top billing as the pattern on his sweater…
… Then I used a few more to decorate his backpack.
That was a lot of teeny embroidery!
And to get this little guy ready for a whole heap of adventures in his new home, I sent him on his way with loads of cool stuff.
Last but not least, a pair of sunny yellow welly boots will keep his paws dry and allow him to stand on his own two feet!
You can find out a bit more about the techniques behind this monster creation in the Gallery entry here, or see the original BeastieBlog post from March 2018 here.
Do you remember this sweet little woolly guy? Be sure to let me know in the comments!
We’ll be back on Tuesday with another new Beastie to meet… In the meantime, have a monster weekend!
Love the hair on this one! And those comfy boots…..if you’re ever thinking of going into felt boot production for humans I’m a size 5.5 by the way. Any colour, I’m not fussy!
Hmmm, maybe Beastie boots for humans could be the next big thing! I have also found myself envying their cosy felty footwear. Your pair is on the way, Queen Bee 😉 Thanks for dropping in!
So awesome!
Thanks Tierney! Now I’m going to catch up with Tierneycreates Beastie’s trip to the library 😊
These are so adorable!
Thank you! I had a lot of fun with this one – it was certainly one of my more unusual design briefs! Cheers for finding us 😁
I do remember this guy, I can’t believe he was sent on his way 2 years ago already!
I know! Where does the time go? 😱 Cheers for popping in, Hannah!
